What does this prayer say about forgiveness?

I think it would be incredibly hard and much harder than any of us could imagine or understand. Christ prayed that those who killed Him would be forgiven and obviously the love that the Jew had for God outweighed his/her anger and sadness. To be able to pray for those who were doing such awful things shows a strength of faith that I wish I had.
