Why do you suppose it is that some people seem to get nothing but abuse?

Once a person has been abused by family members who are supposed to love them.They tend to have an attraction towards other people like that.Because they have come to feel like the abuse is the same as love.Do you get what I mean .I hope I explained it well enough to you.Because that is what happens to a lot of people they look for those kinds of relationships because it feel normal to them.
